Hello! I’m Maureen, an experienced and passionate English teacher based in Ljubljana.
I hold a Master’s degree in English Language Teaching, Literature and Culture and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (English and Literature). I have more than 3.5 years of teaching experience in international and multilingual educational settings, including experience with the IB curriculum.
I have worked with learners from different ages, backgrounds and levels of English, and I genuinely enjoy helping students become more confident and independent in using the language.
As a teacher, I am patient, approachable and supportive. I believe that every learner is different, so I take time to understand your goals and adapt my teaching to your needs. Whether you are learning English for school, university, work, travel or simply to improve your communication skills, I will help you make steady progress in a comfortable and encouraging environment.
Outside the classroom, I am interested in languages, education, literature and intercultural communication. I enjoy working with people from different cultures and creating lessons that are practical, engaging and relevant to everyday life.

About My English Lessons
Hello! I’m Maureen, an experienced English teacher with a Master’s degree in English Language Teaching, Literature and Culture and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (English and Literature).
I have more than 3.5 years of professional English teaching experience in international and multilingual educational environments, including experience with the IB curriculum. I have taught learners from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds and enjoy helping students become more confident, independent and effective users of English.
My lessons are personalised according to each learner’s age, level, goals and learning style. Whether you want to improve your everyday communication, grammar, pronunciation, academic writing, speaking confidence or overall English proficiency, I will adapt the lessons to your needs.
