O Miljana

Hello! My name is Miljana, and I am a student with a strong academic and personal background in Spanish, languages, linguistics, and education.

I have studied Spanish for over five years through specialized Spanish education and additional private lessons, both individually and in groups. I have also completed an intensive C1 Spanish course at Mester Salamanca and participated in national Spanish competitions. I am currently studying Spanish and Spanish literature, which allows me to continue developing both my language skills and my understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures and literature.

My interest in languages extends beyond learning them. Through Petnica Science Center and programs connected with the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), I have participated in advanced research in linguistics and bilingualism. I have completed four research projects in these fields, with two of my papers published in the Mladi Srbistika journal series by SANU. I have also participated in numerous seminars covering research methodology, linguistics, cognitive science, and data analysis.

Alongside my academic experience, I have two years of mentoring experience, supporting younger students in educational and research activities. This has taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt explanations to different learners, and create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

I also have extensive experience in international and youth organizations, including UNICEF, Model United Nations, the European Youth Parliament, and international youth initiatives. These experiences have strengthened my communication skills and given me the opportunity to work with people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

As your Spanish tutor, I will combine my academic knowledge with a practical, student-centered approach. My goal is not only to help you learn Spanish, but to make you feel confident using it.

I believe that learning a language should be engaging, practical, and adapted to each student. Having learned three foreign languages throughout my life through both one-on-one and group lessons, I have experienced many different teaching approaches and understand how important it is to find a method that works for each learner.

My interest in language learning goes beyond the classroom. As a participant in two science centers, I have explored teaching and learning methods and conducted four scientific research projects in linguistics and bilingualism, two of which were published by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. I also have two years of mentoring experience, which has taught me how to explain concepts clearly, be patient, and adapt to different learners.

In my lessons, I combine conversation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and listening, with an emphasis on actually using Spanish rather than simply memorizing rules. I adapt the lessons to your level, goals, interests, and learning style.

I am currently studying Spanish and Spanish literature in Belgrade. I have five years of formal Spanish education, additional private Spanish lessons, national competition experience, and completed a C1 course at Mester Salamanca.

Whether you are a complete beginner, want to improve your conversation, need help with school or university, or simply want to become more confident in Spanish, I would love to help you make Spanish a language you genuinely enjoy using.
